Makes enough for 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
¼ cup Heavy whipping cream
2 ¼ Tbsp. Confectioners’ sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a chilled small mixing bowl and with chilled beaters, beat cream until it begins to thicken.
- Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until soft peaks form. But don’t get to excited that your new mixer does all the work and walk away like I did… You’ll end up with butter!
- Use immediately over your dish or Store in the refrigerator
- ENJOY!!!

I’m not exactly sure why, but when I was working at a highly rated local restaurant they had whipped cream. They always whipped the whipping cream in a stainless bowl, sitting in another stainless bowl of a larger or equal size with ice in it. They claimed it was required to help it ‘set’ the whipping?
I’ve always seen it done that way too. I think it’s because it maintains the cold temperature. I haven’t tried it in a non stainless steel bowl but I think it would still work.
simple and delicious. similar to how my mom made it. yum
